The Woodcliff Hotel, part of the Schulte Hospitality Group, is currently seeking a skilled and service-oriented Wedding/Event Planning Manager to join its team. This role is designed for a dynamic professional passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences in event planning and customer service. The Wedding/Event Planning Manager will play a crucial role in driving customer loyalty by providing service excellence throughout each customer interaction and growing share of accounts. Responsibilities include identifying and securing new business through various sales efforts such as telemarketing, site tours, cold calls, and client meetings, as well as advising clients on hotel facilities and services tailored to their event needs. Negotiation of contracts involving food and beverage, function space, room rates, and related hotel services will also be an essential part of this role to ensure revenue goals are met or exceeded.

This position entails a multifaceted approach that merges strong sales expertise with meticulous event management skills. The Wedding/Event Planning Manager will coordinate event details including menu planning, food and beverage arrangements, table setting, and decorations, ensuring flawless execution of client specifications. Key duties also involve monitoring the competitive landscape to stay ahead and conducting hotel and banquet facility tours to showcase the venue to potential clients. The role requires the ability to maintain active and organized customer communication and documentation, meeting or surpassing predefined sales targets while generating accurate business reports regularly for management review.

Candidates for this role should be flexible, with work hours potentially extending to evenings, weekends, and holidays to accommodate client needs. Ideal applicants will have at least three years of experience in hotel or conference catering and sales, with a high school diploma or GED required and a bachelor’s degree preferred.
