About the position

Leigh & Co. Events is a fast-growing wedding planning company operating throughout the United States, currently seeking planners in Minnesota. The company provides wedding design, coordination, and planning services for engaged couples. This Lead Wedding Coordinator position is a contract role offering a flexible schedule and training. The pay is \$350 per project, with each project typically requiring 10-12 hours of work. The company is looking for individuals to join for the 2026 season and beyond. This role involves serving as a lead planner, primarily working onsite to provide wedding planning services, collaborating with client experience managers during planning and assistant coordinators onsite for execution.

Responsibilities

Attend a final details call with clients approximately 6 weeks prior to the wedding to confirm logistics, timeline, and expectationsLead and facilitate the ceremony rehearsal on the day prior to the wedding, ensuring all participants are confident in timing, processional flow, and key cuesServe as the primary advocate for the couple onsite - maintaining a calm, solutions-focused presence and supporting them through any challenges that ariseOversee ceremony and reception setup in alignment with the event design and our day-of execution playbookManage full wedding day execution from initial vendor arrival through final breakdown at the end of the eveningGreet, direct, and act as the main point of contact for all vendorsCommunicate setup instructions clearly to vendors to ensure alignment with the event planCoordinate and assist with placement of personal and event details including escort cards, menus, table numbers, favors, guest book, and décor elementsSupport the wedding party and family members with guidance, timing cues, and any day-of needsEnsure all end-of-event items (gifts, guest book, personal décor, etc.) are properly packed and accounted forProactively manage and resolve any issues or last-minute changes to maintain a smooth guest experienceRequirements

Ability to work weekends is essential2 years experience as a wedding planner or event plannerStrong communication skills and detail orientedReliable transportationAble to carry and lift 30 lbs.Benefits
