Engaging Events is one of the top wedding and event planners in Chicago, Illinois under the direction of Alison Phillips.

Job Responsibilities:

The Assistant Wedding planner will be expected to help with all aspects of the wedding day, under the direction of the wedding planner. Some tasks include, but are certainly not limited to:

-Behind-the-scenes work at the wedding

-Welcoming wedding guests

-Tending to the bridal party, bride, groom and families

-Setting up, detailing and breaking down ceremony and reception

-Greeting guests and answering questions

-Interacting with venue staff and vendors

This is a part-time position for wedding and event days. This is NOT a full-time job and is not an office job. This is an on-site assistant position for the days we have events during the year. Our events are on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. We are open to assistants with only Saturday availability, however Fridays (even just evenings) are a plus. Please share your availability and any current weekends you're unavailable upon applying.

Qualifications

-Able to work weekends and longer day and be on your feet 10-12 hour days

-Able to work independently and as part of a team

-Able to provide outstanding customer service and a friendly demeanor

-Punctual, professional and reliable

-Past experience in hospitality or service based business

Job Types: Part-time, Internship, Contract

Pay: From $24.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
