Assistant Director, Student Events and Activities

Pay rates at Syracuse University are based on a combination of factors including, but not limited to, the job responsibilities; the candidate's education, training, work experience and key competencies; the university's strategic priorities; internal peer equity; applicable federal, state, local laws, grant funding and contractual requisites; and external market analyses. The Assistant Director of Student Events and Activities enhances student life through the planning and coordination of engaging programs that connect students and support their sense of belonging. • Knowledge of large-scale programming, event planning, and student and professional staff supervision experience preferred. Event Planning and Implementation: • Direct the Events and Activities team to create and implement a dynamic range of programs, approximately 70-80 events per year, that meet student needs across daytime, evening, and late-night hours. • In coordination with program staff, oversee the work of up to 12 student staff and 20 student volunteers, fostering an environment that supports accountability, engagement, and development.
