Catering Coordinator

Job description:

Pranzi Catering & Events is seeking part-time Day of Event Coordinators. This position is per Diem and perfect for the person looking for some extra income during the summer months. This position will act as a Day-Of Event Coordinator for mostly weddings, along with some other events such as Rehearsal Dinners, Galas, and Social Events. This job is mostly 3-4 times per month and is mostly on weekends. This hands-on job will require a meeting with the Director of Catering or Wedding Specialist prior to the scheduled event and then executing the event from the initial load-in to the last truck leaving the event property.

Qualifications:

Be able to stand and walk for 8 or more consecutive hoursProvide your own Transportation to and from Wedding Venues around RI & Southern MassachusettsCommunication and Interpersonal SkillsGreat at Multi-tasking and being able to prioritize dutiesAble to give Direction to other Event Staff without hesitationTake the initiative and be proactive in all types of situationsStrong Attention to DetailTIPS or STOP or similar alcohol awareness Certification preferredBasic Wedding Knowledge and terminologyBackground in Hospitality or prior Restaurant, Catering or Event ExperienceStrong work ethicResponsibilities:

Meet at Scheduled Event for Set-Up and Preparation of EventGreeting the Client and Venue staff upon arrivalBe able to follow a strict timeline and detailed schedule of eventsRead Banquet Event Orders (BEO’s) and paying attention to small and large detailsCoordinate with Kitchen Staff/ Back of House on food execution and communicating effectively to ensure the event runs smoothAssisting Event Clean Up and packaging wedding belongingsEnsuring client’s wishes and demands are met and exceed expectationsJob Type: Part-time
