The role of Strategic Meetings Management Specialist within M&T Bank involves facilitating the strategic meetings management process (SMMP) for internal clients by managing site selection, supplier negotiations, and contract management for event and travel resources. In addition, the incumbent promotes a cohesive and inclusive environment aligned with M&T Bank's brand principles and upholds internal control standards including audit points and regulatory issues. • Bachelor's degree and minimum of 1 years work experience or a combined minimum of 5 years higher education and/or work experience including minimum of 1 years work experience • Experience working with multiple business lines • Experience with pertinent word processing and spreadsheet software • Experience managing multiple tasks and prioritizing among assignments • Experience working independently and as an effective team player • Domestic travel ranging from 10 to 25 percent of the time • Strong organizational skills • Detail-oriented • Knowledge of standard hotel and venue contract management
