The Arizona Exposition and State Fair Board (AESF) is a longstanding institution in Arizona, hosting the largest single event in the state every fall since 1884. The Arizona State Fair draws over 1.5 million attendees annually, making it a key cultural and community celebration characterized by food, entertainment, and numerous activities that highlight Arizona's diverse heritage. The position of Events Coordinator Assistant at AESF is a vital role that supports the administration and coordination of special events on the fairgrounds. Reporting under the supervision of the Deputy Director, this role acts as an assistant manager, involved in every phase of event execution from booking to completion. • Driving is an essential function of this position • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid State of Arizona Driver's License • Experience with event coordination and facility management • Knowledge of fairgrounds and event facility operations • Ability to physically perform assigned duties • Strong organizational and supervision skills • Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing • Ability to work with limited direction and make decisions within scope of authority • Must be able to handle stress and troubleshoot issues during events
