Communicate and plan for operations departments' participation in servicing accounts.Formulate programs and submit formal sales proposals to prospective customers.Lead on-site inspections by customers, entertain customers, perform outside sales calls to develop leads.Attend trade shows/events and make personal calls on customers, which may involve travel within or outside the United States, depending on assigned markets.Forecast realistic group pick-up utilizing recent convention history and other information.Distribute information relative to the company, customer, and hotel.Actively participate in related trade organizations.Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.QualificationsMinimum two years of college; degree desirable.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Prefer 2-4 years experience in sales and/or event services, with strong self-direction, prospecting ability, and excellent computer and telephone skills.Superior relationship-building skills and effective networking abilities. Ability to represent the property in business settings.An aggressive, outgoing, and self-motivating individual with a pleasant personality.Prior hotel experience in hospitality sales, conference planning, or convention skills.
