The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) is a non-profit, bipartisan public policy organization established in 1962 to provide strategic insights and practical policy solutions to decision-makers concerned with global security and prosperity. This internship is a great opportunity to develop strong administrative skills and contribute to the operations of a think tank on the cutting edge of the national security and foreign policy field. The hired candidate will be paid hourly, commensurate with experience ($18.00/hour for current undergraduate hires, $19.00/hour for hires with a bachelor’s degree, and $20.00/hour for hires with a master’s degree). Essential functions may include, but are not limited to the following: • Support conferencing and banquet staff during events and meetings • Enter invoices into ReqLogic, Concur and Event Management System (EMS) databases • Support CSIS programs by sending finalized BEOs and invoices related to Conferencing costs • Run reports and compile event analytics • Assist with any special tasks, presentations, projects, and reports • Background in data entry or event planning preferred • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to provide strong customer service • Excellent interpersonal skills with attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously • Ability to work well individually and in a team environment
