Our client is a regional membership association serving industry leaders, partners, and business owners throughout Eastern NY, adding an Event Planner to plan trainings, membership meetings, conferences and other events. This fun, multi-faceted, and creative role provides value added programming and includes communications (with Canva) and administrative responsibility. This is a collaborative and welcoming environment with an outstanding leadership team and dedicated member base.
Fully coordinate and execute multiple programs of varying size throughout the year. This includes establishing calendars, programs and speakers, setting up venue/room layouts, selecting menus, managing budget, working with vendors, marketing and promotions, managing registration, handling logistics, and conducting post event follow up.Think and act strategically to analyze and improve events, keeping them impactful, professional, and with relevant, valuable content. Assess member, affiliate member, and partner needs continually.Work with leadership to secure and maintain sponsorships and partnershipsElevate and maximize the use of technology (existing or new) including Canva, Excel, Square, QuickBooks, databases/CRM, social media (FB, Instagram, LinkedIn and online registration systemCreate a balance of financial return with partner, sponsor, and attendee representationHandle administrative responsibilities for the officeQualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is highly preferredMinimum 2-3 years of full cycle event planning and administrative background requiredFamiliarity with sponsorship sales or light fundraisingContract and vendor management experienceValid driver's license for site visits requiredExperience moderating virtual meetings or webinarsProficiency with Canva, and mail merges requiredWorking knowledge of Square and QuickBooks highly preferredExperience managing online registration platforms preferredPay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
