Position Summary
The Events Coordinator is involved in the planning, setup, execution, and breakdown of all club events, ensuring a seamless, high-quality experience for members and guests while upholding the club’s standards and code of conduct.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Events Director with all event planning and execution needs.Supervise and direct event setup staff to ensure accurate, timely setups per BEOs and event maps.Help oversee the setup, execution, and breakdown of multiple daily events across club facilities, including weddings, tournaments, and member gatherings.Act as liaison between the kitchen, FOH staff, golf shop, and vendors to ensure smooth event operations.Maintain and manage inventory of rental event equipment and supplies, ensuring proper setup and maintenance of audio-visual equipment and event décor.Assist members and guests with event needs, including unloading/loading personal items.Set up and breakdown of coffee, water, juice, wine, beer and snack stations for small groups such as Bridge, Mahjong Book Clubs, Business Meetings and Board Meetings in designated areas.Oversee cleanliness and organization of event spaces and storage areas in coordination with housekeeping.Attend pre-service meetings and ensure staff readiness for guest arrivals.Provide on-site support during events, potentially including serving, bartending, or food running.Assist with administrative tasks, including answering inquiry calls and responding to event-related emails promptly.Create and update Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to ensure accurate event execution.Maintain organized records of upcoming events, member communication, and any related documentation.May need to open and close the Clubhouse as needed.Treat all members and guests in a courteous manner and follow the code of conduct established by Skaneateles Country Club. Report all member and guest issues to the Event DirectorEnforces the club’s rules, regulations and policiesRequirements
Valid Driver’s License.Ability to stand, walk, lift 50 lbs, and work in varying weather conditions.Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.Prior event operations or hospitality experience preferred.Compensation Details
