Leigh & Co. Events is a dynamic and rapidly expanding wedding planning company, and we are on the lookout for passionate planners to join our team. We specialize in providing comprehensive wedding design, coordination, and planning services to engaged couples. The Lead Wedding Planner position offers an exciting opportunity for those eager to pursue a career in wedding planning. This is a contract position, allowing you the flexibility to create your own schedule! Training will be provided. Compensation is $400 for a commitment of 10-12 hours, paid per project. We are specifically seeking individuals for the 2026 wedding season and beyond.
As a Lead Wedding Planner, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional wedding planning services to couples, primarily on-site. You will collaborate closely with our client experience managers and assistant coordinators to ensure seamless execution of weddings. Your responsibilities will include:
Conducting a final details call with clients approximately 6 weeks before the wedding to confirm all logistics, timelines, and expectations.Leading and facilitating the ceremony rehearsal the day before the wedding, ensuring all participants are confident and prepared.Serving as the primary advocate for the couple on the wedding day, maintaining a calm and solutions-focused demeanor amid any challenges.Overseeing the setup for the ceremony and reception to align with the event design and our execution playbook.Managing the entire wedding day operations from vendor arrival to final breakdown at the end of the event.Welcoming and directing all vendors, serving as their main point of contact.Clearly communicating setup instructions to vendors, ensuring alignment with the event plan.Coordinating and assisting with the placement of personal and event details, including escort cards, menus, table numbers, favors, guest books, and décor elements.Providing guidance, timing cues, and support to the wedding party and family as needed.Ensuring that all end-of-event items (gifts, guest books, personal décor, etc.) are properly packed and accounted for.Proactively managing and resolving any issues or last-minute changes to ensure a seamless guest experience.Requirements:
Availability to work weekends is essential.At least 2 years of experience as a wedding planner or event planner is required.Strong communication skills and attention to detail are a must.Reliable transportation is necessary.Ability to carry and lift up to 30 lbs.
