Campaign & Events Specialist (part-time)

Green Dot Public Schools is a non-profit network of public charter schools helping to transform the public education system so that ALL students graduate prepared for college, leadership, and life. The Development team Campaign & Events Specialist (CES) in Los Angeles will help maximize financial gift support to GDPS California through events and campaigns that lead to private contributions that can increase the margin of excellence at its schools. The CES is expected to be a team player who takes initiative in supporting the work of all members of the development team in reaching ambitious fund development goals. Secure locations and > entertainment, organize catering, create and distribute promotional > materials, presentations and guest lists > Manage event attendance, develop and send invitations, secure corporate and > institutional sponsorships where relevant > Attend regional development events to help set up, welcome guests, and > provide overall day-of support to hosts and Green Dot leadership > Plan, execute and manage donor cultivation and stewardship campaigns, online > and by direct mail, to grow the donor base and reach ambitious fundraising > goals > Identify, secure and manage partnerships with surrogates to promote Green > Dot campaigns on social media platforms > Design and write pitch and cultivation materials for distribution online and > in print -- including video narratives, PowerPoint presentations, and > printed materials > Develop supporting collateral for school tours, the GDPS Ambassador program, > and campaigns, including story and data decks, short video film scripts, and > printed materials > Write and distribute a quarterly newsletter for current and prospective > donors and an internal audience, including the Board of Directors, Senior > Management and staff, and school sites > Lead event planning and coordination for the annual and anniversary galas > (serving as the main point of contact for any external event planner), > coordinate gala committee meetings, work with Green Dot’s Communications > team in marketing strategy/deployment and video content development > Collaborate with the Development Operations Manager to maintain the > Salesforce CRM database for accuracy and integrity.
